The rival ex-FARC factions, chiefly Ivan Mordisco's Estado Mayor Central and Calarca's bloc, sustain mid-intensity violence in Cauca, Huila, Narino and Guaviare: Mordisco's dissidents were blamed for a Sept 29 drone and gunfire attack on the Tunia checkpoint on the Pan-American Highway that reportedly wounded at least six uniformed personnel, in a department Infobae says has seen 40 drone attacks on military bases in 2026. They are under pressure from De la Espriella's offensive and the Shield of the Americas listing of Sept 22: Comandos de la Frontera leader Geovany Andres Rojas was extradited to the United States on Sept 26, and Ecuador's army killed five alleged members of a Comandos de la Frontera and Los Lobos alliance on Oct 2.
